This report was based on analysis and evaluations of 5200 Sustainability Reports from 52 different countries and aims to reveal responsibilities and practices of companies on international level while serving as an important resource for investors, portfolio analysts and rating agencies. The report was limited to Top 100 companies in 52 different countries to reveal Sustainability approach and reporting practices in general. On Monday, three undergraduate students from the University of Vechta in Germany, visited the Turkish Sustainability Code Office on the Heinrich Böll Foundation’s recommendation to get detailed information about CSR efforts in Turkey. The Turkish Sustainability Code office, which is committed to develop the first local non-financial reporting standard for Turkey, calls all stakeholders to participate in the dialogue. The Sustainability Code, created by the German Council for Sustainable Development, was very demanded and successful with over 900 reports from over 500 companies. (Interested? The Sustainability Code is coming to Turkey 

Turkey is about to become the third country with a national Sustainability Code. The Turkish Sustainability Code, developed in collaboration with the German Sustainability Code (DNK), was announced at the Sustainability Outlook 2019 conference in Athens on 5th April 2019. Dr. Hüdai Kara and Julia Graner, Director and Manager of the Turkish Sustainability Code project, respectively, attended the conference to represent the Turkey. The Sustainability Code, a reporting standard introduced by the German Council for Sustainable Development (RNE) in 2010, is open to independent, country-specific adaptations. According to the RNE, further EU and global parties are interested in the experiences with the Sustainability Code and its options for national adoption along with Turkey who is at an advanced stage of adaption and implementation.
