On Monday, three undergraduate students from the University of Vechta in Germany, visited the Turkish Sustainability Code Office on the Heinrich Böll Foundation’s recommendation to get detailed information about CSR efforts in Turkey.

The group of students studying Economics and Ethics, who came for an excursion accompanied by Dr. Moritz Botts, reached out to the Sustainability Code for its expertise on the topic and met with the director of theSustainability Code Dr. Hüdai Kara. As a recognized sustainability expert, Dr. Kara shared his experiences gained also from his work in his consulting firm Metsims on of life cycle assessment (LCA) in Turkey, CPD, and on the pioneering work it has done in GRI area. Topics further included how the Turkish Sustainability Code, will promote transparency in the supply chain, and touched on issues such as eco-costs. SURATAM and TurCoMDat were mentioned.
